2026 OFFICIAL PATH

Five eligibility gates and two compulsory papers.

JEE Advanced 2026 was organized by IIT Roorkee. The examination was held on Sunday, 17 May 2026; results and final answer keys were declared on 1 June 2026.

Main performance

Among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in JEE Main 2026 B.E./B.Tech, subject to official category rules.

Age

Born on or after 1 October 2001; five-year relaxation for SC, ST and PwD candidates.

Attempts

Maximum two attempts in two consecutive years.

A4

Class XII appearance

First Class XII/equivalent appearance normally in 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, subject to the official exception described for certain 2024 boards.

Earlier IIT admission

Prior IIT admission/allocation history is governed by the detailed official rule and exceptions.
